Last year under the alias of 'Phillip D Kick', Om Unit gave us 3 volumes of Footwork edits of his favourite Jungle tracks from back in the day and some of my favourite tracks including Champion Sound, Renegade Snares and Atlantis were all given the 2011 treatment. Apparently he was gonna blag it that it was an old mate who had recently passed him the tapes but it soon came out it was him.
It's great to hear somebody still fucking around with these tracks all these years later. Apparently not everybody was happy with these tracks getting reworked but if you are arsed you can read all about that beef elsewhere! Anyways, here is Volumes 1-3 in one file.

I am off to France & Switzerland today Skiing and Snowboarding with a load of good friends. It is going to be a great time. I Cannot wait to be sitting on top of a mountain surrounded by snow. I will put some pictures up of my trip when I return next week.
Whilst sat at the top of a mountain taking it all in I will most definatly be listening to one of my favourite albums of all time, Biosphere's 'Substrata'. My friend Cliffy first passed me a copy of this back in 1997 and I have loved it, some might even say been obsessed with it ever since. I was never a fan of 'Microgravity' or 'Patashnik' but this record will stay with me forever as Geir Jenssen's finest release. It's a modern classic of recorded music and set the bar for many records of the Ambient genre that followed. I was lucky enough to catch Geir play with my friend Ged in Liverpool a few years after it came out and although it was plagued by crashing laptops and many complaints from Geir about Windows it was still an incredible night. Last month 'Substrata' finally got a vinyl release after all these years which I still need to pick up before it sells out. I do have three different copies on CD though to get me by until I do.
Turn the lights off and play very loud. You wont regret it.
